
1. What did you do before entering the seminary?
I worked at McDonalds in management for 4 years and for 7 months and I worked at a casino.
2. What advice would you give to someone discerning a vocation to the priesthood?
We must always remember that a call to the priesthood is never about what we want anymore, or ever was it. It’s about what God wants us to do, even if we have to give up what we want in life the most.
3. What do you look forward to most as serving as a priest?
I look forward to being able to serve the people as a spiritual father.
4. What is most attractive about the priesthood?
Being able to serve the parishioners sacramentally.
5. Who was most influential in you pursuing your vocation?
My grandmother is. She passed away the summer of 2006 a few weeks before my birthday. She did not know that I was thinking about the priesthood, well my aunt found a birthday card for me from her. I opened it on my birthday after that and it said as well as happy birthday it said “may God bless you in your walk to the priesthood.”
6. What is your favorite part of seminary life?
My favorite part of seminary is no matter how we act to each other we still watch each others backs. The brotherhood is amazing.
7. What are some obstacles and challenges you face?
Some of the challenges that I face is wanting a family of my own and that natural thought is hard to get over.
8. What type of prayer has been most beneficial to your spirituality?
Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament is by far the most spiritually lifting
9. What has been your favorite class in the seminary college?
It maybe scary to say but I think my favorite class so far has been Medieval Philosophy.
